- Before updating:
- Ensure a recent backup exists (check with the hosting provider or web team).
- Avoid running updates during busy periods.
- In the left menu, click Dashboard → Updates.
- Review available updates for WordPress core, Plugins and Themes.
- Update in this order:
- WordPress core (if recommended by the web team).
- Key plugins like Elementor, Elementor Pro, ElementsKit, ProfilePress, The Events Calendar, Event Tickets.
- Less critical plugins.
- After updates, check:
- The homepage
- A typical content page
- An event page
- A membership page
- If you see errors, note which plugin was just updated and contact the technical team.
